This is the building in which I live, Korpus 1. It's more like a dormitory in that the bathrooms and kitchens are communal, but it's not only students who live in this building although it belongs to the University which I attend. There are also normal families living here, or just singles looking for a cheap place to live.
I've spent a lot of time talking to two men from Uzbekistan and Ukraine who moved to Moscow to find better work.

This is the entirety of my living space. It's very small, but in general, all living spaces in Moscow tend to be small unless you're very rich.

The corridor from outside my room.

One half of our kitchen.

The other half of our kitchen.

Our very small elevator. It works just as well as it looks like it works, as in, it breaks down at lesat 5x a day. None the less, I continue to hold my life on a string everytime I use it, and I use it frequently.

The buttons in the elevator. It's old to the point that you can't press more than one button at a time and expect the elevator to go to more than one floor without you repressing your desired level.

Our floor cat going in for the kill.

We do have a tremendous amount of snow in Moscow, so we get these guys, who ever so nicely shovel the excess snow off the roof so we don't get killed by the resulting icicles.
